Prov 24:16

16                for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again, but the wicked are brought down by calamity.

Learn a new definition of failure and success.

God views failure as…

  1. Universal.

Rom 3:23

23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

1 John 1:8-9

8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.

Rule # 1. You will learn lessons.

Rule #2. There are no mistakes—only lessons

Rule #3. A lesson is repeated until it is learned.

Rule #4. If you don’t learn the easy lessons, they get harder.

Rule $5. You’ll know you’ve learned a lesson when your actions change.

13 As a father has compassion on his children,

Success is how you deal with life along the way.

  1. Subjective: You are the only person who can really label what you do a failure.
  2. What will history say about you? It is subjective.
  3. Legalism. Not receiving forgiveness. Judas Iscariot.

 

  1. As a learning tool. Discipline.

Apostle Paul did not allow his past to taint his future. He was bold and called himself an apostle. He didn’t asked to sweep the floors.
